How light the tackle can be used for angling carp? Or in the other words, how big the carp can be landed up with #1 or #2 Fly Rod? I had caught several carp which was over 1.5 pounds by #1 Fly Rod eight years ago. But it is hard to use such light tackle to catch large size carp, or I should said, the other carp was scared away while it cost too much time to fight with carp. So, light tackle is not the primary choice for angling carp.

想的時候，為了試試自己設計的「旅行者7924」(七呎九吋四節二號竿)，到底可以耐上多大的拉力值，於是就選擇鯉魚頗多的一處河濱公園，下竿測試。The idea just flashed to my mind one day─I would like to test how the big the strength that Traveler #2 7’9(4) the rod which I design can endure? Therefore I fished in a riverside park where abounded with carp.
經過實際的誘釣，本日一共釣上五尾鯉魚，其中30公分以下的小鯉魚因為無法打標，就不列入紀錄，所以留下紀錄照片的，就只有45.4公分的雌鯉一尾，以及54.4公分的雄鯉一尾。其中五十多公分的雄鯉雖然吃得很胖，但還是拉力驚人，差點讓預備線被抽出釣竿，好在一路跟著跑，才在花了五、六分鐘後，請牠上岸。
I caught five carp totally in the day. Amongst of those carp, some were smaller than 30cm so I did not make tags on them. I took photos of 45.4cm female carp and 54.4cm male carp only. The male carp was fat but against power was amazing. The backing was almost drawn out of the reel by him. I ran with the carp, and it cost me five or six minutes to land up him.
