Note: 何氏棘魞分佈於花東縱谷至南迴一帶的主流溪中，最大體長可達五十公分以上，算是台灣溪流中頂級的掠食性魚類，舉凡水生昆蟲、蝦子、小魚等等，都是牠的掠食對象。由於何氏棘魞體型大，力猛，掠食性格強烈，因此是很好的擬餌釣遊魚種。
